Its French, but its not a Clio!

I finally got round to taking some photos of the car this evening, which I purely did out of boredom. I have finally got my 106 gti back on the road after the gear box Shat itself just after christmas. I managed to pick up another gearbox off ebay for £80 which was a result. While it was sat there broken, I really should of sorted lots of other issues out on it but I really lost all motivation for the car and my weekends where all taken up with work.

I fitted the gearbox and clutch about 2 weeks ago, and put it through its MOT which it passed with flying colours and no advisories :S

Since then I have started sorting the little jobs out on it, making door cards, tidying up wiring etc etc.. I still have a list longer than an elephants ding dong left to do and it will always be never ending but I have found my motivation to get back on with it. Driving it again has reminded me why I own such a shed, I love it it handles superbly just a shame people don't quite understand it lol! I am entering the sprint at abingdon in June so I have lots to sort before then, next on the list I need to fit my new steering wheel, brake lines, sort a rollcage and just tidy it up in general.

anyway I stop with the chit chat, here a few photos. Nothing special compared to the photos I normally produce, but the car is not exactly a super car. the sun roof has been replaced with a panel, its not been cleaned since september and some parts are held on with cables ties

That looked very nice, I love diablo red and I would love mine to look that clean but it never will it gets used and abused to much.

Cheers! It went like a stabbed rat aswell.

Took it to an RR day and it put out 133bhp lol. I'm convinced to this day it was faster from 70-130 than any Clio i've ever been in lol.

Got a soft spot for these, the misses drives a 5dr with raptors and a quicksilver kit on, in silver.
needs a blowover where the bump strips used to be, but she likes it, and i like to abuse it lol

they are nice and nippy Danny, this has got different Cams in it which were fitted when I bought it, I can't remember what ones they are, the paper work is somewhere for them.

well bit of an update.. I am picking up some 205 gti speedlines tomorrow night which is a result, picked them up for a bargain just randomly browsing pistonheads

Can't be a mk1 clio, could be a trophy though the colour has somewhat faded lol, the spoiler is actually pink and the lacquer is peeling.
