Its offical...I have too much time on my hands

  TrackCar & F30 330d
Finished work early so thought i'd be very sad and paint the TOYO R888 on my track tyres.
I do know that all my effort was pointless as it will get scrubbed off next friday when on track, but there ya go.
What do people think? i'l put the wheels/tyres on the car next week and take another picture. Hoping it will look good :D

undecided if im honest..

Perhaps silver would of contrasted better with the colour of your car

I just washed the wheels and tyres and used a Tyre pen from halfrauds. cost me £6 which is quite expensive but it kept me occupied for a few hours.
I just finished them off with tyre shine stuff.
They are 15" F1's with 195/50/r15 Toyo R888 tyres :)

Liking that.
Lol at the people who say it won't match with the car...er they're track wheels, does it really matter.

I was thinking of doing this with my R888's but thought would look s**t and tacky!

I disagree with my previous thoughts and will be doing mine too!

And the R888's are really not that bad in wet weather!

The writing looks good, but to put tyre shine on track tyres is a f***ing stupid thing to do.

Either get it cleaned off, or stay away from everyone else for your first few sessions on track.

 I did think that when i was putting it on. But then i thought i'l probably put them on at home and i have a 60mile drive to the track. The stuff i use isnt really that good and comes off really easy so i suspect it will come off on the drive there.

It wont, trust me.

Unless you drive on the road like you do on track it'll be on the edges of the tread and you'll only discover it when you first lean on the tyres on track.

I lent my wheels and track tyres to someone on here while they were getting their standard alloys refurbed...and they put that slick s**t all over them.

I got them back and headed for the track....I thought the same as you...but on my first session I was all over the place.

Oh ok, well thanks for the heads up. I'l rub the stuff off before i put them on.
Live and learn i suppose.
When i end up getting new tyres i'l stay away from the tyre shine stuff :)

Use washing up liquid and water and properly clean it off...that's what I did to what was left after my track outing...the only safe way to get it all off IMO.
