Itunes help please

Pardon my I-Ignorance.
I have made alot of playlists on Itunes and tried syncing them to my ipod however I tunes wants to sync my whole library which is in excess of 20gb. How the hell do i make it just sync my playlists etc not the library>?

Not sure if you can just sync playlists.

Turn off auto sync and manually add the playlists is the only way I can think of !

oh so when you sync the ipod it always syncs the library?

Damn i have had a Nano for last 3 years and never knew that, here i am adding albums to playlists!!!

You can click 'manually manage music and files' on the device tab.
