iTunes just giving me a error message? Reinstall?

I've just got my iphone and when i've gone to install itunes all i get is a error message saying reinstall. How do i completely remove it from my pc?

Edit actaully go Start-control panel-add remove programs....try and do a repair on quicktime

Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > iTunes > Uninstall.

www.apple.com/itunes > Click install.

Done.

Sorted. Stupid question though, once i've ticked which songs i want on my phone. How do i actually load them to the phone? Lol! Its plugged in but i cant see where to click to do it..haha

Bump. Im having a similar problem just now, its doing my head in!!
Done everything in the post from Needster, and every time ive gone to re-install Itunes (for the latest version) it gets to the very last stage of the process and fails!

Any solutions?!

i tried installing itunes, immediate error comes up on first run and says it need reinstallation. f**k i hate this program.

Hmmm. I'm running the same and mines never given me any problems. Are any of the iTunes 'add ons' (shall we say) still installed when you reinstall... In other words, when you uninstall the old version are you following the sequence as per the link I posted further up?

never had a an old version on this machine, it's a new build, itunes was installed yesterday (64bit version)!

Hmmm. I'm getting pretty stumped.

Try downloading it from here: http://filehippo.com/download_itunes_64/ rather than using Apple's website.

EDIT: Will the 32bit run at all?

no 32bit says it's not designed for the operating system. ok mate, i'll give it a go. will unistall first, thanks for trying tbh i was venting had already given up hope and thought i'd install it on the xpm thing.

im using vista. Went into the apple store today to ask about it and they kindly gave me itunes on a CD to see if that made any difference. Alas, it didn't!!
