I've got the shakes!!(valver)

  1996 Valver
Over the last year, I have replaced loads of parts on my Valver, I like to get things replaced before they can go wrong.

The problem I have now is a severe shake on the steering wheel when braking, It is at its worst between 60-50MPH.
The disks are about 3000miles old, same as the pads, front wheel bearing's, and bushes............I also replaced both drive shafts last weekend.

Is it the disks that are warped?? I think this is the cause but I don't understand why the wobble is at it's worst between 60-50MPH and not at higher speeds, I also made sure they were well bedded in when new, before any hard braking.

Any ideas???

Thanks:)

Are the tyres balanced and is the toe in corect aas well as the camber angle (less likely to be the camber angle though) ask a tyre fiter to check it is balanced as it is the easiest way.
Hope this helps

Thanks matt

I did think of this, but thought It is brake related as it doesnt do it when just driving allong.

Tracking has been done recently.......Can camber be adjusted on the MK1's without buying the special bolts?

  Looking for a ph-quick...
You will need camber correcting bolts. You can buy thm from a good tyre centre, at least thats where i got mine from! K-Tech do them aswel
