I can't really say that I noticed any difference tbh, but as with everything, every little helps. You'll probably release a few hp/lb ft throughout the rpm range

If I buy one mail order, rather than porting my own, will it still do the job? I'm guessing it won't be "matched" as such?

As long as you buy from someone who knows what they are doing, they should be fine

they are not that hard to do yourself tbf, I done mine in a weekend

Haha - seiously, I would find a way to f**k it up. Fists of ham.

worthwhile , the oem ones are quite bad. Check if your lower one has "RS" welded on it. If it does then it's fine and won't need doing as these are good from factory.. You can check this by using one of this dentist-mirrors to be able to look past/under the fuel-rail section. The upper one can always be done.

If the head is off get the head done and inlet done at the same time then you will notice the gains. The manifold on its own not so much.
