janspeed exhaust

  BG 182 FF
Someone on here recently bought a Janspeed system for a 182 from Kwikfit not long ago. Yes Kwikfit:eek:

Might be worth doing a search, as I think it cost him less than £280 fitted!!

I have just got system 2nd hand with silenced and unsilenced mid sections! Still not sure what one to fit!

I had one on my Bean. Brilliant overall.

The noise varied a bit. When new, it was quiet but fruity. After it sooted up, it was quiet when cold but even more fruity when hot. It did start getting slightly irritating on the motorway after a while TBH.

Mine was the straight through system with no centre box. If I was buying again, I'd get the system with the centre box.

Got one on mine atm, straight cut, silenced mid section/ centre box system, very happy with it. Relativaley quiet, but has a nice note when opened up. Fine on motorways as it doesn't sound much louder than standard. Will be taking it off in the next couple of weeks as I fancy a change so mine will be for sale in the next week or two.

Think I will go for the silenced mid section but very confused by the fitment of this system with the Janspeed / KTR Sports cat. I am led to believe that there is some form of apapter to go from 2" (output of the Sports cat) to the 2 1/4" input on the cat-back system.

Can anyone enlighten me!?

correct, adaptor which slides into the centre section and the other end 'cups' onto the cat
