Does anyone know anything about clio gearboxes and ratios?
I have a rally car with a standard 1.4 engine and box, which I have now done two events in.
On the most recent event some of the stages were very tight and twisty and I was using second gear alot. Problem being that second wasn't low enough and if I put it into first it was screaming at me.
I have found a JC5 box from a 172, for sale locally, and it looks like it should just bolt straight on. Does anyone know for definite that it will and also wether the gear ratios on first and second are different enough to make a difference. If not can anyone offer any solution?
Top end speed isn't an issue because I don't plan to do events with lots of straights.
