JB3 GEARBOXES HELP ASAP!!!

Hi all.

Right, I understand a JB3 gearbox goes on a 1.6 16v engine.

What are the differences between the numbers after the JB3 and what significance does this have to the type of box on what model of car, if you see what I mean!?!

Need to know urgently if possible!
