anyone that slates jbl is a rather uninformed person in my opinion great budget gear top range is also very good and at the end of the day how good it is or whether you get what you want from it is down to how much you know when setting up, matching equiptment, box building etc tec;)

  Mustang, S13, AX GT
the amp I've got is good, just make sure you mount it properly (I've just snapped a mounting foot on mine)

I think the problem people have when slating it, is they are comparing it to equipment often 3 times the price.

I'm looking at buyigna rover 200 1.1 as a daily driver and finishing the clio properly. If i was putting a budget system in it, it would be JBL. Simple as.

my mate is running four gt4 10s in a pseudo transmission line box its designed to play the lows its in the back of a pug 106 and peaks at 33hz with 148.9db his port tuning is 25hz and it plays it crazy the doors and the boot are literally about to fly off the hinges;)

i have 2 jbl 12inch subs running of a pheonix gold 4 channel amp (bridged to 2 running 612 watts rms each) and they kick,

had a fella with a vibe space sub but he had a pants mutant amp running it and it sounded s**t,

JBL are great for there money and i would rate them and reccomend them,

in my experience the majority of people that claim jbl are rubbish are the boys that come in my shop looking for a refund beacuse they have blown their gt4-12 off the mutant 2x80 and are constantly clipping the amp:rolleyes:

lol^^

and may i add these people are the ones that look for the big number ie 1000w and think wow i can blast it loud.......

i have just bought a jbl 15 inch sub 2 10 inch subs...a 6 channel amp..and a mono amp plus components in the front and 13 inch on parcel shelfs.....

ALL without excpetion is made by jbl....my bro had exactly the same set up in his 306..excpet they were all the older looking jbl stuff.....it realy did sound amazing..and may i say i think it blew some of the more expensive installs away!

I've used a 10" JBL sub in an ex's car and it sounded really good and was only £35!!!

My current gf has a 4 channel JBL amp running two JBL 6x9s and a Pioneer 12" sub and it sounds really good. Bearing in mind that the amp and 6x9s cost her £115 all together! :D :D

  Clio Mk1 1.4 RT
Im pretty new too all this but basicly jbl are good if you cant afford a £8oo install? thinkin of gettin 1 for my mk1 clio. any ideas for a head unit around £150 mark?
