JENVEY ITBS VS KTEC RACING ITBS? BOTH RUNNING OMEX 600 ECU

does anyone know which is better? running them on a clio 172 cup, (with yozza sport exhaust and de cat), buying the jenvey itbs from yozza sport and buying the omex ecu from them also or is buying the KTR itbs the better choice.

any sensible advice please on which would be best to buy for best gains and value for money..

thanks

there both the same! (boddies, manifold and ecu etc)

I think the k-tec kit has a 172 loom included rather than the universal loom plus it comes with a base map!, Its a plug and play kit.

almost exactly this, except it's more than a base map, it's a productionised map which you'll struggle to improve on. And you gert a full set of CNC machined bracketry so no DIY manufacturing needed. Also uses a non renault crank sensor so you dont have the reliability issues that brings and no need to run 2 sensors as the new one can cope properly with being a split signal to run the dash

Just a question outta curiousity.

If you bought the K-Tec Racing Plug and Play Itb Kit.

Would the car still need mapped and set up on a Rolling Road ?

Or will it run sweet enough as it come with a mapped Ecu ?

And how easy would it be to fit ?

Am i guessing any Mechanically capable person would manage :)

as I said above, it's already a good map so you can just plug in and go :)

done them in a day (having done quite a few ;) ) so I recon a weekend for someone competent first time :)

sorry to revive an old thread, but if ones car had cams in already would these need to be mapped in conjunction with the throttle boddies?

Or would the map in the plug and play kit suffice for the existing uprated cams and the throttle bodies???

Cheers

haha,(Cheers Fred) fair enough. But for the best possible power outputs & driveability should i get the map tweaked to suit once it is all fitted etc? i.e could i be missing out on a handfull of bhp and a teaspoon of torque if i dont?

Cheers

i would always suggest getting it checked at least, even though omex say its bollock on, it may not be 100% for your specific engine

we have calibrations for some variants of cams in conjunction with itb's. ring Andy at gdi and ask. we may have one suitable for your spec off the shelf so to speak.
