JMS induction kit ph1?

How is this kit for a ph1 172?
I know the gains on a 182, but would it be the same on a ph1?
Would it be better just to buy the filter if it fits in the stock airbox?

I run one on my PH1 seemed to be a smoother curve and a louder noise but i did change from a broken PH1 box and dirty paper filter. But now the car is running poorly but i assume this is compleatly un related to the JMS setup being fitted.
