I did a trackday last year and my favourite car was the clio touring car left hand drive with a sequential gearbox. I want to purchase a clio 172 cup for a bout 8 grand.

I want to strip it out and try to get near to the same spec as on the Palmersport car for trackdays nxt year.

Have to sell my caterham 1st. But any help and advice would be much appreciated.

Thanx

You are kidding? Ive done that track day where you drive all the cars and of course it includes the Clio and a Caterham - http://www.motorsportsensation.comwww.motorsportsensation.com

I would never in a million years sell a Caterham for a Clio after that experience! The Caterham was my fav car of the day even if it wasnt as shockingly fast and brutal as the JP1. They reckon that Clio is doing the 0-60 in 4.1 seconds but to be honest I think thats a bit optimistic, the VX220 Turbo felt a lot quicker to me and the Caterham just blew it away. More like 6 secs I reckon. The Clio was good though handling wise and I have to say the experience was pivotal in my decision to buy a 182.

Anyway stuff the Clio, sell both your current motors and buy an R400!!! Use it everyday and forget the weather, it aint no worse than a motorcycle!
