Hello all,
My sisters 2005 1.4 clio went to the garage today to have a belt tensioner changed as it was really noisy. She picked the car up at 5 when the garage shut and only had a 2 mile journey home. In that time she's told me on about 4 or 5 times the car was really juddering and engine sounded like it was thumping but when it weren't juddering the car drove fine. Am I thinking this could be the engine mount as that's the only thing they would have removed when getting to the belts which would cause the car to judder?
She will be ringing the garage first thing tomorrow morning but if it was something as simple as tightening a mount, id rather do it myself to save the hassle.
