Juddering steering??

Only happens when not moving, turn the wheel and it judders.

It's actually stopped now but does feel a bit heavier. Fluid's topped up.

Also, my ABS seems to come on very easily, even when I'm in traffic sat on the brakes at stand still it decides to come on randomly!

Any ideas??

reading on here it seems to be a common fault?

I know the PAS pumps on the Mk1 valvers were a bit iffy but surely they must have rectified it in the 172?! My black phase 1 172 never had this problem.
