Juddering

just turned the corner the other day and when i put my foot down my clio lost power, started juddering, producing a sound as if the exhaust had a hole in it and a rather eggy smell. Could the cat be busted?

Can anybody shed any light??????

Don't try to turn sharp corners in 5th :clown:.

Don't think a busted cat would lose power and make the car judder.
