Just a Question as Parkers is poo..

  R.I.P 182
And makes me pay to find out.. lol..

Wondering the value of my car? (Or if anyone has paid for Parkers can i be cheeky and ask you pleeeeeease look for me  )

its a 55 plate, 7k miles, Racing blue full fat with cup packs..

She's very pretty and is completely standard.. Any ideas?!

So if it was up for advertisment i could start it about 10k and possibley have interest?

Im not thinking of selling just very curious.. although i do sometimes think its expensive, every time i look at it or get in it i'm in love

it's a fine line tbh as 10k is close to trophy money , i'd ask for the 10k but expect to be knocked down a fair bit .

Price it to sell if your going to sell, price too high and drop the price and people will think your struggling, I bought mine 2 and a half years ago with 7k on the clock for £10k your not going to get that for it now imho.

Parkers is only a guide too.

absolutely no chance of selling it for 10k. Thats early 197 money, id know what id rather be having. Its 2yrs old, theres no getting away from that.

8.5k is about right, low mileage can only go so far.

Thanks for all input guys, no i'm not thinking of selling at the minute, as i say i keep thinking "gosh this is expensive" then i get in it and look at it and fall in love all over again, but i work in the city and my train fares are over £300 a month as well as other outgoings i thinik it'd be more sensible option to go for a slightly cheaper car (mk1 172 / 172 cup  ) and then i have some money to play with for either modifying it, or just to pay off debt lol!

But, as i say, i'm half and half at the min as i love it :O

I'd get rid Don Don...Buy something cheap to run and have a good time with your money instead! You only live once and can always buy another when you settle down and don't fancy spending the money on nights out etc...

If you get the train to work everyday it seems little point in having a nice car sat outside depreciating! I know the feeling as I'm in exacty the same boat!

I got it on 6500k, so i've driven it a fair bit, and i LOVE driving it!!! Sooooo nice, and if i DID change, i'd want to have a car with the same kind of power as it'd feel wrong going back to the 90bhp of the mini one :( lol!

Alex - Do you not drive to work anymore? I'm still gonna have money going out of the bank for the car but i could pay off a lump sum with the money..

Do you think it'd be better to sell outright or P/X?

  Clio 182 & Saxo VTR
You wont get as much for p/x but you get an instant sale, whereas selling privately is the opposite.

The basics of selling a car, cmon catch up. ;)

I'd sell it privately and try and get as much as you can for it! You could then pay off some of the debt with part of the money and buy a Mk2 172 (privately) for the rest...

Nah hun I work from Home now. Only use my car once a week lol

Its silver :S lol.. i think if i got a 172 i;d have to have one in cup blue, or flame red or something unusual.. not a fan of black or silver cars :(

Theres literally thousands of 182/172's for sale at the moment, so you'd have a lot of competition.

Your car has low miles, so that will work in your favour and maybe set it apart from the crowd.

Reckon you'd get 8K for it.

Donna,

as said you'll be better off selling it privately, although as you have outstanding finance on it, it's not actually yours to sell yet.

The market at the min is on it's ar*e, great for buyers but naff for sellers. If you were considering selling the best time would be early next year (around March time) as the market will pick up then.

Do it, clear your finance, get a loan of about 6 grand over 3 years and get a low mileage mint condition 172 with repayments of about 170/180 quid a month.

If you are selling it which i dont think you are? you were just curious? then stick it for what you want for it mate, if you want as near to 10k for it as you can just stick it up for that and be patiant?
