  BMW 535D

  GDI ???BHP Cliosport172
Im going to get alot of stick for this but being that this is a forum and people have different opinions im going to say it -I think v6,s are very overrated for what they are!

They are VERY overrated. They are not as fast as people think. If only they were as quick as they looked.

Don't get me wrong, they look great and sound great and are rare but that's it.

I guess it's down to the type of person but I got bored of my v6, subway (adam) has already told me he is getting bored already.

Maybe if I hadn't have used it as an everyday car and only a weekend car... but then whats the point, a car is for driving not for sitting on the drive.

I agree i'm after getting a new car next year, and have looked at the V6's but i'd want something a bit quicker for the money, and i don't think the interior's that great either apart from the gearstick and colour codded panels it's the same as 172-182.

  Clio v6 & Atom 300
Its all down to personal choice.

For me I wanted:
Mid-engine
RWD
3ltr (or more) N/A
Manual (obviously)

Plus:
Affordability (purchase price, and servicing costs / intervals)
Practicality (hard top, electrics, a/c, boot or rear seats not required)

Not much else out there really.

If i had 20 big ones id like one but i think id go for a Z3M coupe in estoril blue or that rare yellow instead........Yum freakin Yum!!!

  Renaultsport Clio V6
There nothing like other clio's. If you drove one you would know why they are so brilliant. Evo mag quite often give's the v6 m2 great reports and they drive zonda's to work so they cant be to bad. ;)

  Octy VRS
I found the lightness at the front end quite unnerving at higher speeds over bumps, maybe 'cos I'm used to the 182. Do love the noise and looks but for the money I'd probably get something else like an Elise.

  RB 200 Cup!
id prob have one - especially in yellow just cos round here (Norfolk) they are quite rare plus they look the tits

no matter what car you buy there will always be argumentativly speaking a better car out there. Im sure that when i paid 4k for my williams a year and a half ago there were far superiour cars 'for the money' but it just comes down to how much you want one! I had always wanted a williams and im sure a few members on here had always wanted a v6.

I'm getting a vee as soon I sell my coupe, tbh I read all of the stories on here etc (both positive & negative comments too)
So I went out in a mk1 beloging to a dude from the vee forum - tbh I though it was great :approve: Did a mix of B roads & motor way, sure it was noisy, but thats to be expected tbh.

I do agree about the interior comments though, as tbh i'm not over enthralled with the mk1 interior - way too plasticky;) but apart from that i'm into them big style.

Sure there are faster cars out there for the cash (my current cars not exactly slow any way:evil: ) but it's the rariity value & what it is for me. I've wanted one ver since I saw the press pics of one.

The only other car that does it for me in that sort of price range & is also rare is a P1, maybe one day i'll get one of them:)

can you get it taken off Cat D then if it's okay now, as I cant see anyone paying £15k for a car that was classed as written off due to un-economical repair really... mind you, most people are stupid, so you may well get more than £15k thinking about it lol

But didnt you have the mk1?? That isnt in the same league as the mk2 ;)

  Yaris Hybrid
Ah right I was going to ask how much different the Mk1 was to the Mk2.

I found the Mk1 to be no quicker than my 182. It felt the same as my 182 whilst driving it and when chasing my friend I kept up with him no problems. I think I had the handling edge too.

V6 pulled miles better from low revs and sounded better but that is it.

Can't imagine the Mk2 being that much quicker that it gives you a wow effect?

  Clio-V6
my buddy has a 220 turbo vx with stage 4 turbo and stage two map

bloddy hell it is fast, mega fast, i mean, so very fast its madness.

easy cars to tune and they look great

  BMW 535D
for the money i must admit i'd need to examine other options before making a choice, a scooby or an evo would possibly get the nod, but the V6 would be a sound investment as theyre quite a rarity and out of factory production with no immediate successor, in a bit of a niche market aswell, it mite even appreciate in value after a while!

  e60 M5 -172- dciheid
id love one in acid yellow, they arent that much quicker than 172/182s, but id still like to have the ownership experience - its a one off, a classic, unique etc

lol

Quiet a few cat D 04 mk2's have gone for around the 14k mark. Not to long ago there was the Mars Red one which sold for 15k IIRC

Lucky for me mine is a 05reg, low miles & is in perfect condition.

You can’t take off the CAT D, which is a shame.

But if the potential buyer can spot a fault with my car, then I'll hand the car over for free ;)

  Clio V6
No offence, but why is anyone going to pay £15k for a car you just payed £8k for and is a Cat D write off. Aslo there's quite a few Mark 2's for sale now with similar or less mileage for similar money that aren't Cat D.
