hi folks,

well, i have gone and done it....ive sold my lil 1.2 beast and bought a mk1 172, fell in love with it straight away !!!

is there anything i should know about the mk1 172s ?

also, what is the 0-60 in 172s ?

0-60 depends how you drive it drop the cluctch will be better performance wise but not good for clutch life.

Nothing much to know there about the same weight as Cups but have climate and a spare wheel I belive (full sized alloy I think) older ones have an alloy bonnet for extra weight saving.

Gearbox is longer geared as its lighter than the Mk2s as they need a closer one to help counteract there extra weight.

Engine is slightly different than the Mk2 as its got a manual throttle bodie.

No Zeon lights though

i actually still prefer the williams but the willy aint getting any younger ! i hunted for about 2 years to find a decnt one or a one that hadnt been modified but they are so bloody hard to get hold of !!!
