the sun has appeared and about time, so i wiped the dash, did the glass, vacced it out, then gave it a bath. a brew and some biscuits later i broke out the deep gloss AG and polishing cloths and set to work :approve:

today is a good day to own a titanium silver 182. i like it. it looks the nuts. but what i really hate is everything that lets it down, really only seen close up but are noticable. i think i need some paint in the not too distant future: front bumper, both front wings, bonnet, and the wheels need a refurb. im not keen on these (172's??) but a friend has his own glass fitting firm (auto aid) and now has a mobile van refurbing and painting wheels and will charge me £135 to do mine in a light grey/anthracite which i think will look a lot better.

i've seen lots of his work and they are class. he takes his time, its no rush job. if i see my pal later with his lexus ill get a shot of his wheels

nice, my bullets have a bit of spotting like that too.

I have seen some very good reviews from mobile wheels refurbishments - worth a try, especially if its your mate - i would be asking him to take the tyres off and do for that price though

Spend a few more pennies and get it sorted properly. If a job's worth doing...

lol, i dont park anywhere near kerbs, all the rim damage has been done by the previous owner, im no newcomer to alloys lol

yeah, i see your point but i probably wont keep them for my duration of ownership, unless they look really good when they are refurb'd. incidently, the tyres are taken off, paint stripped, alloy welded etc.....

im looking to keep the car as it is low mileage etc and i do like it, in a way a bit of a sleeper. but i know when i start this new job im going to be pining for more power and i love the look and sound of an S4 cab.

so far the clio has had an RS192 pipe, and is washed and waxed weekly. thats it. im going for an estimate next week to sort the bumper, bonnet and wings then i'll be mega happy with it. ideally i'd like a panel filter, some wheels, steering wheel cos its melted, and a front splitter. but im enjoying it more each time i drive it so maybe the S4 will wait longer :approve:

I'd forget the paint and concentrate on the S4 cab fella. Far better car. What's insurance like for you as it will be a hefty step up.

its cheaper than the clio lol 10 yrs no claims, fully comp on an S4 cheapest quote of £650 the clio is costing me £800. i think its more to do with the value of the cars. my mate has an M5 V10 and pays about £500 fully comp and he's 3 years older than me. i've come from cosworths etc so im no stranger to BHP =)

you stockport well? lol im near Bredbury, they tend to be a bit hit and miss tbh, my 3doors were £1200 one year, the first one got wrote off through someone stealing a bus, i bought another and it was £900. so fairly inconsistent. i wont be staying here for much longer, im looking to move out of this area lol
