Just found something quite worrying

Was just goin thru my renault handbook looking for something then I found a bit of paper screwed up at the bottom of the handbook pack. The paper is the green new keeper supplement with a registration **04*** then on the new keepers address bit there is a stamp saying "cherish transfer re-registration" and my registration **54***. Am i right in thinking that my cars registration has been changed and if so why!??? Also why has it been changed from a 04 plate to a 54 plate.My car was first registered on 13/09/04.

it is a 2004 car however it is a 54 plate as everycar registered after 01/09/04 will be 54

wouldnt bother me unless it went for a 54 to an 04. may have been pre-registered and then reassigned another plate when a private plate came off ?

Hopefully then there may have been a mistake when my car was registered and it was changed from the 04 plate to the 54 plate.Is it worth doin a hpi check on the old plate or am i just worrying over nothing?
