Just kerbed it!

Too busy beeping at a friend and I ran into a kerb at about 10-15mph.

The wheel went onto the kerb, it did not just bounce off it.

Here is the damage to the wheel and tyre.

Do you think it's safe?
Just had 4 new Continental PremiumContact 5's all round last week!!!

The second picture is when I peeled the excess off

Ok :approve:

I think I'm going to put that wheel on the rear for piece of mind!
I'd rather still have steering if it decides to blow :o

Gutted though! Typical!

Tyre should be fine, dad did exactly the same to his T5 Sportline when I was in it, I seen it coming and literally just cringed! He has quite a hefty chunk missing too!

Echo whats above, thats just a small bit of outer rubber, if it was down the cords I'd want to throw it away.
