Just ordered my 40mm Apex springs......

Does anybody have the equiptment and space to fit them, of course i will pay. The garages around here want an extortionate amount to fit them, and i dont have the tools or the space to get the job done.

1st - There a piece of piss to fit. Buy the tools...Canny mind exactly what you need. 21mm spanners, allen keys and that it. Don't need spring compresors.

2nd...Ouch...Hope you saved money for physio appointments.

i have noticed a massive difference in harshness going from a 185/55/15 to a 215/40/16.

Think 195 is std, 205 fit tho...Never seen 215's on a 172 alloy

I had 40mm avo springs on mine looked fantastic with 17's but after 3weeks took em off my spine couldnt take it anymore !!!! they compress std shocks too much thats why ride is to harsh imo

they arnt 172 alloys they are rota subzero 16". i only bought them recently from member J03, they were the tyres they came with

piece of piss dude, changed mine this weekend, you do however need spring compressors, otherwise when you take the nut off of the top of your strut, PING!!!!

hmm, i may try it. although i do have one mate who may do it. still got to speak to him yet.

I know if i tried id be able to do it, im just frightened of something going wrong

seriously pal its easy, the only hard part is getting the shock back in and over the drive shaft. just use a couple of long screwdrivers to lever it up there and get the bolts in. you may need someone to help you. it took me and my bro about 1:30 per side. the rear is even easier. they fall out!!!

I'm running 16"s on my RS with Apex springs and the ride isn't to harsh at all IMO.

spoke to the aa garage/nationwide garage where i used to work and the boss is going to fit me them for 60 notes. pretty decent of him i think, its not normally their gig to mod cars

Its a bumpy ride in my wee car
