Just saying hello.......

Hi all, just bought my 182 a week ago and i haven't been able to stop driving it since......what a rush :D, i drove a discovery before that so this is worlds apart in terms of fun.....and speed! but only up to the speed limits of course....:boring:......but then it's not hard to go faster than a discovery tdi....0-60 17.2 seconds....lol
i also needed to find out why my car occasionally beeps three times when i get out and lock it but i think after reading some old posts i have found the answer....i think!, so thanks to all those who asked the question for me previously.

Thanks guys, i'm still learning loads about the car but i have found that waiting a little longer to lock the doors stops the beeping happening, if it persists then i'll probably upgrade the alarm system.

Welcome along! You shouldn't need to upgrade the alarm - just when you get out of the car, wait a little longer before locking as Mr. Ste666 said.

Hey there Ste... welcome to CS!! There are loads of us in and around the Leeds area so why not catch us on a local meet sometime!! Enjoy the car though... oh and it's standard to post pics of your steed asap!!

Welcome to CS the beebing means you have locked the car to soon. Just unlock it and lock it again or wait a minute or so before locking it. If you wait a minute and it still beeps then there may be a problem and you will need to take it to a garage to get them to sort it. I believe there is a fault code on here some where that you just quote. Any thing else just ask :)

Oh an as Groovejunkie said where are the pics of the car??? lol

Oh and i did forget to say that this is the full fat version, someone i know has the trophy model but i found the ride a little too harsh for daily driving so this was my compromise......but it still keeps up pace with my sisters Audi S3 so thats good enough for me.

I agree about the colour, it was what swung it for me, i was looking at this one and a deep blue 172 cup, in the end the colour had me, i had been wanting another black car ever since my rust bucket orion in the early 90's......that thing had more filler than original bodywork by the time i scrapped it.
buying a ford, what was i thinking!!!!

welcome to CS! I'm also a newb, to CS membership and to owning a CS!
We were in the same boat car wise (well, not quite but sorta!) having a volvo tank on our hands - then we fell for a 182 and the rest is history :)

gorge car, we were looking for black but then settled for silver which we still love, but there is just something about that black gold paint that makes me wanna melt ;)

Ben^

way! someone new from up North, was just saying there seems to be a lack of yorkshire CS owners......I should pay more attention really.

I know exactly what you mean about coming from something completely different to the clio's, the landy was good in it's own way.....well except for the part where i kept leaving people in clouds of diesel smoke....something i never did get used to really.
anyway i had only been looking for only a couple of weeks when this clio came up for sale only a hundred yards from where i live and as it was exactly what i wanted in the perfect colour too so it took me all of five seconds to decide to go see, test drive and then buy it......but i like silver too :)

Welcome.

I agree completely with that, other than my brother in laws best mate who has a trophy i can honestly say that there just aren't that many CS's around up here in't wilds o yorkshire........or like you said, maybe i should just pay more attention :)
