K&N 57I or similar induction kit

  2003 MR2 Roadster
Hi

If I buy a K&N 57i induction kit, does it come with the hose that takes cold air from the bottom of the engine bay to the filter?..Or do I have to buy this seperately?

What the pipe gets too hot?.I thought the idea was to get cold air into the filter..

Would you reccommend the 57i K&N?

How long does it take to fit?

Does it sound better?

Is acceleration / mid range affected?

Thanks

dont bother with a 57i. They suck warm air in from the engine bay as they are an open design. Better off looking at K&N apollo, opr a pipercross Viper or BMC CDA or ITG Maxogen or even the Hill Power as all of them are sealed/semi-sealed designs!

How much can I pick up a sealed type?..I dont wanna spend lots really

Is it advisable to pick up a used one on Ebay?

wouldnt buy a used one that you dont know has been looked after, so avoid fleabay. Sealed ones start at about £150iirc. if thats too much dont buy an induction kit.
