K&N filter change?

Changing the standard 182 air filter for a K&N (filter only) would it make any differents to the BHP and pick up, and would it run smoother on the motorway?


I know when i changed it in my old 1.4 MG ZR it made a noticeable differents, its was smoother and its had a bit more top end, and it also incased it by 3 - 4 BHP on the rolling road!

Would this be the same for the 182!

(i was told by the renault dealer that the normal filter is a k&n just made by renault) think thats a load of bull!!

Also does it affect the warranty!

I say keep it standard and get an itg panel filter like most on here would say. Or if you got the money get a pipercross viper.

When I bought my 172 I had a K&n, full system exhaust.
My car was very sluggish when i put my foot down, transforms the sound of the car though.
