K-tec relocation kit

Just wondering whether the relocation kit for the 1.2 16v is worth the money. Is it gonna make any difference or does it just look good.

bolt on mods rarely make the difference at all m8. It will make SOME, but not worth the money. I like IKs cos they sound good, but not too sure what the system is like on the 1.2

For the amount you can spend getting 50bhp outta yer engine it prolly work out cheaper to buy a new car.

my m8 has one on his 1.2 16v and the only thing it does is take away the induction roar which is crap, he has now taken it off

i wouldnt buy it again given the choice. Does give a nice sporty roar when you blast it around 4k revs. however ive heard alot of iks on other cars that sound much better.

does look good though:)

Remember that the engine is only a 1.2 so you will never get the type or induction roar that you get when fitting an induction kit to a 1.6 or a 172. We have tried 7 different filters on the 1.2 and none have made a really loud induction noise but nearly all improved the way the engined revved out. The relocation kit is mainly fitted to move the position of the filter. It does increase the induction noise slightly but still not to the levels of the bigger engines.
