I must be lucky

Was very worried about the rasping thing when buying but it hasnt happend thankfully.

Probably down to my set up? dunno

Id certainly recommend it from my experience
Is yours a mk1 or mk2? The mk1's are meant to be better.

Louder then standard, but nowhere near as loud as a yozzasport race system etc.

I really did wish i joint here an asked for advice before i brought i hate my exhaust, i like the sound but the loook is a fail!

How much for the yozza 1... i want it under the car like standard.

yeah KTR mention it on here, when someone said they dont do any R and D on there parts (or something like that) they said they were developing a quiet stealth.

Had my K-tec stealth for a month now and:

- Pleased with the 'burble' at idle, nice and sporty but subtle enough
- Quiet as my previous OE exhaust on the motorway, except for when under load
- Nice when giving it the beans, not overly loud and not much louder than OE

- Noisy and fairly harsh under low rev acceleration at slow speeds - however, I suspect I have a slight leak on the manifold side of the cat so this may account for some of this
- Mine isn't mounted 'stealth' - despite it being fitted at an independent 'Renaultsport specialist' - you can still see 1/3 of the backbox and that's with a new rear mount that's been packed with copper tubing. Think I'll take it to an exhaust specialist for adjustment.

Happy with it so far, and I think it will be brilliant once I've got the niggles sorted (not K-tec's fault)

^ try slackening the backbox -> system clamp and twisting the back box so that it's tucked up as far as it'll go. the clamp needs to be v tight - could try a Mikalor/Norma clamp if you're currently using a u-bolt clamp and still have bother

Yeah, I know thanks. Just haven't got round to getting under the car to loosen the clamp yet - and presumably you need two people to do it?! I want the old manifold to cat joint looked at too though

:)

ah, right - mani->cat joint's definitely a two man job but adjusting the backbox should be a simple one man job providing paste wasn't used and it's not too difficult to twist in the system pipe

So back box adjustment: slacken centre>backbox clamp, slacken backbox bracket, twist, retighten backbox bracket, retighten centre>backbox clamp....?

Mani>Cat joint - I just have a suspicion that there's a slight leak so I wanted a professional to take a look on a ramp. Can't see anything by just peering underneath, but there's an amount of noise when revved that comes from that area rather than the back box. Not gonna tackle that myself, I'll just break it  :D
