k tec stealth...?

Havent had one b4 but ordering one on monday as mine is shagged and they are cheaper than renault ones and have lifetime guarantee

Brill! Had the ph1. Loved it. Imo one of the best sounding 172 LIVEABLE systems on the market and sensibly priced.

Andy has one on his, and its not great, BUT, its a very old one, 6 years or so? I believe they have been improved!

His knocks, we have tried to sort it again and again, but can't seem to sort it.

Sounds well though.

anyone got any vids of them?

Ali... Are they pretty durable?

I've got a few vids of mine. Fire on MSN.

I had a decat and maxogen so a bit louder. The ph1 is nicer than the ph2 stealth imo...But both nice.

I'll be online in a bit Ali :)

Oh, knocking doesnt sound great :/ CBA with another bang-y rattly thing :/

As i said, i am sure they have been revised since then, fit some for other people and they seem good!

Kev...... rrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaasssssssppppppppppp!! :dead:

One of the best mods ive done. Not too loud when driving normally and just right when going for it.

I have a K-tec stealth Mk2 [Cat back system]

Noise....

It's a lot louder than the standard exhaust during general driving [quite boomy at 50-60 in 5 gear]. Although it sounds great on B road blast when giving it some beans, and i like the noise it now makes at idle.

Build quality...

Good bit of kit imo, It's now covered approx 4-5k,without any probs.

Sounds alright, not dissimilar to the chav one atm.. except its probably a bit quieter.
I'm not bothered about it being loud or whatever.. I don't mind as long as its liveable.

tbh i find mine livable, and me and my GF do a lot of motorway miles.

Probably get it de-catted /sport cat for it when it's not a daily driver anymore though.

Mine actually sounded nicer and much less boomy with a sports cat.

anyone actually managed to mount their's so its 100% stealth?

Mine's pretty much 100% stealth.

k-tec fitted mine it came out the garage stealth, after a 5 min blast it had dropped below the bumper [iirc something to do with the metal expanding the first time it gets hot?] so back up the ramps for a quick adjustment it's been spot on ever since :)

Taken today, covered about 4-5k now.

I've got a ph2 stealth. Sounds ok, there are far better out there. Very heavy, fit is pretty shocking (all of them suffer this, they hang wayyyy too low), and its pretty boomy. I'm not a fan, but I got it cheap to replace a disintegrating standard system. I would not buy one again, because in all honesty, the only positive I can find is the price I paid.

they're becoming the bain of my life! the amount i've had to refit for people after they've had their mate dave/steve/tyrone/tracey etc to fit them :(

Boomy? :S Try fitting just about every other 2.5'' bore system and you'll find out what boomy really is - certainly isnt this one from experience.

Weighs 1kg lighter than stock apparently. Only better system you'll find costs 100+ quid more and its only better in terms of fit

Had a few (but thanks;)). The noise isn't particularly nice, the fit isn't great (plenty of prev threads detailing dropping backboxes), and isn't light. The noise is my opinion, but the rest are just the truth.

You can't totally hide the back box on the PH1 as the rear bumper is a different shape (You can see the lower 1/3 of the back box). I found the downpipe looked abit like an elephants trunk and had to be trimmed so you can't see it. Thats the only complaint Ive had on mine.

If fitting from home theres a bit of trial and error to fitting an exhaust if you have never done one before which I hadn't! Mine has not dropped since I perfected my fitment a few months ago.

i found mine quite quiet, easy to fit but i did find due to the large bore the clamp between the middle and rear never hold tight enough to stop it slipping so tack welded it and all is fine now.

bought mine (mk2) second hand and have been perfectly happy with it - good materials and construction, good and easy fit imo (any tailpipe drooping will just be a loose backbox clamp), sounds pleasant and isn't at all intrusive (not with the cat on anyway - v intrusive with a decat pipe)

Ive got the mk1 stealth, you couldnt see the backbox when i 1st fitted it, but then i had it dropped down & a cup racer style tailpipe welded on...i fancied a change. cant fault them for the quality, sound & price really

normal driving you can just to say hear it over standard imo but then giving it a blast has a good sound to it, ive also got a janspeed silenced decat fitted, probs go for a unsilenced decat & yozzasport system in the summer tho, try something differnet
