At the start of 2023, I decided something had to give. Two cars, a Megane R26, and a 172 Cup, was no longer a viable option - the R26 was too nice to drive and its value was all tied up in the cars low mileage, and I had taken the boosted Cup as far as I could really be bothered. Sold both within two weeks.
Suddenly I was without a RenaultSport for the first time in a decade... for all of a week. I then picked this up. A Storm Grey Clio 200 Cup. 111K, belts due, and suspension issues that will be addressed very soon.
I was worried I'd regret selling the others, but this really feels like the two of them molded into one. I am hoping to turn this into X Cup Racer-inspired car with a bit of a twist. A good friend of mine has a stunning K24/K20 Frankenstein DC5 and the long-term plan is to do the same to the 200.
This year will be all about making smaller improvements, getting some track time in, and sorting out the suspension. The Honda engine will come later. If you made it this far, cheers for reading.
