Karcher Pressure washer

My Karcher has packed up :rolleyes:

Plug it in and switch the power switch on the Pressure washer and nothing :quiet: No sound from the unit at all, have checked the fuse but that seems ok... any suggestions?

Parents one did this, turned out it had rusted and seized inside, thought it was a gonner but after taking it apart and twatting it with a hammer, it started working again. 12months on still going but won't last forever.

Motor failure, most likely. As above, model req'd. If it's a 3.** and above, the motor can be replaced at not too great a cost. If it's below a series three, new pressure washer time I'm afraid :(

How much would you budget for a powerwasher with snow foam lance and other related bits and bobs DJ?

Buy a new one :)

Its the old modle 2.110

Think ill strip it down at the weekend and see whats what, if I cant get it going then its in the Bin and will be repalced with a Nilfisk C120 4-6 X-Tra

My Foam Lance (I4Detailing0 one has a Karcher adaptor on though, what adaptor will i need for the Nilfisk? and can you buy just an adaptor?

How long is a piece of string, my friend :( you can go on forever, but personally, don't see any need (at our level) for anything more than a Karcher 3. something. So circa £150. The usual "get what you pay for" occurs lad. We bought 2x 2.**s and they both failed within 2/3 years due to frost etc. This 3.** that we have now has lasted 2/3 years at least, but is also fixable, should the motor go kapow.

There is a drop down list IIRC from I4Detailing. You need to mention in your order which adaptor you need.

Ah, the good old game of detailing. It's more of a "How much do you dare spend" than a question of what the limit is! :( Cheers for the info, I reckon I'll pick one up early next year. :)

Keep an eye on Tesco and Argos buddy, lots of deals, especially at random times of the year (like winter).

Im hoping I can remove the Karcher adaptor from my current lance and just screw on the Nilfisk.

JD any thoughts on the Nilfisk? http://www.screwfix.com/prods/33984...fisk ALTO C120.4-6 X-TRA Pressure Washer 230V

Not sure on the adaptor, I wouldn't risk it personally. I might have a buyer for your old one TBH lad, so keep me in the loop.

All I've heard is reliability and build quality. Other than that, I can only point you in the usual direction;
