kenwood 7024 cd player-help needed!!

right my bro has fitted a kenwood 7024 cd player in his pug 306 and all the wires are fitted up correctly but there aint no sound coming out of it. when we tested the stereo prior to putting it in the whole lot worked so whats going on? also when the head unit is switched on it reads all codes off, does this mean that a code needs to be entered to activate the speakers???????? and to make things even better we cant find the manuals, guess thats what happens when people tidy up!!

Try checking your speaker cables, if youre using the internal amp, it has a cut out feature if the speaker cables are shorted, had this on mine where the cable fell off the speaker cos my crimping was sh*te!
