Kerbing whilst cornering?

My tyres are fine pressure wise, but they don't come all the way out in line with the rim, even though they are 195's. I'll post a pic.

This is what they are like

They don't come all the way out to the edge of the rim. I didn't fit them though. They're 195/45R16 though, which is the the right size.

Balloon tyres? lol

Mmm, just didn't think it was there this morning, and I went round a corner and the was some awful noises, and now there's marks. Was the only wheel left without marks!! Oh well, maybe I did hit something. Good excuse to get them refurbed for the summer I spose.

Don't forget cars like the Vectra have otions of 235/35 tyres and eveo never manged to damge there and if you see some of there pictures you'll know you'd have trouble.

PS I know 235/35 are wider but they work out lower side wall height at 82.25mm but 195/45 are 87.75mm

Something looks seriously wrong with the photos of those wheels and tyres.

It looks like the tyres are lot narrower than 195, like 165s, or the wheels are a lot wider than 7".

They almost look like the rims could touch the ground on heavy cornering.

Standard rims, 195 tyres. Sounds to be the norm.
