key question (sorry ifs its wrong thread)

Hi all ive got a 2000 non sport and my central locking button broke in the fob so I ordered a complete unit of ebay if I put my blade in it do I need to get it coded or resynced to the car

It was the switch on my original plip so I got the solid transponder key from Renault and bought a plip of eBay there was a few sites online that give instructions on how to sync it into the car so that it would work for the central locking but haven't been able to do it so far any ideas if i can even do this or is there anyone others than renault who could recode it to match my car ?
