Key Under Warranty

My key fob button doesnt always work - the little red light doesnt always glow so it doesnt lock or unlock.

I changed the battery and it made no difference. If I take the PCB out and press the "button" on there the LED glows so it looks like its something wrong woth the key case itself.

Usually when I put it back together it works for a while.

Is this covered under warranty (my car still is) so I can just take it back to Renault?

I would say it was a warrenty job. Ring them and ask.

Theres a Renault main dealer up the road from where Im working tomorrow - I might call in on the way home and see what they say.

If its not warranty pm me as I can fix em no probs.

Used to run a key repair service on ebay and 85% of them I could fix.

Cost for this is 15 squid.

It looks like its the plastic case not pressing the button correctly - if they cant fix it under warranty Ill get in touch.
