key way in the crank

While my engine is in bits i notice a key way in my crank and pully. I know they dont have a key but can you just put one in to be safe or is it more complicated than that

you can buy the megane/197 pulley for about £35, but no need whatsoever unless its running boost, standard is fine problems only occur with bad mechanics LOL

Fred any chance you have a part number for the 225 pulley? Not called a woodruf key is it?
