Knackered heated mirror

It had to be the drivers side too. Cant be a fuse as I guess the one does both mirrors and rear window. Presume it could be a broken heater element for the mirror.

Any1 had this on theirs and is there a quick fix?

Well they should do. I just got a 2nd hand mirror instead if trying to fix mine.

Its only 2 wires on the back of the glass, maybe one has come off?

They come on with the heated rear screen.

Ok but how do you get this sorted? Haynes manual is rubbish for this. Presume you take the glass out which must mean taking the mirror of the car?

No if your really carefull you can remove the glass from the mirror head without removing the whole mirror.

Be carefull coz the do have a tendancy to break.

You have to run a thin screwdriver on the lowest edge of the glass , there is a switch and the mirror should pop out. Do you have a phase1 or phase2?

Thats how i replaced my phase 1 one.

Its easy to take the whole mirror off tho, only 3 bolts. There inside the car.

Its a phase 2. As Ive got a 4 day weekend might as well take the mirror off and see. Would have taken it to my local friendly Renault muppets if I could be sure theyd know what theyre doing.
