Knocking from n/s front?

  182 FF, A6 Avant
So this weekend i've changed discs & pads and fitted camber bolts to the car.

I had new top mounts fitted by Birchdown a few months ago along with some eibach and before I started this weekend there was no knocking.

Now, over bumps and rough surfaces I get a knocking from the front left. Everything 'feels' OK, just the noise.

I've taken both front wheels off and checked the torque on the strut bolts, all ok. Everything else feels tight and if I swing on the components I can't feel any movement.

The top mount on the n/s can be moved by hand (the large rubber bit in the engine bay) but the o/s cannot, so I'm assuming it's something to do with this? Any ideas what I can do to try and stop it? I'm doing Silverstone on Thursday so it's rather urgent!

Cheers,

David

Fred, you're a legend!

Any ideas on what it could be though? Have you got the facilities to set my camber there too?

can't be anything serious, i'm sure we've got enough new (and spare) parts to cover pretty much any problem!

Perfect.

I'm going to speak to Silverstone tomorrow to find out the time I need to be there so will give you a call tomorrow to arrange calling in on the way down.
