Knocking noise when going over bumps

whenever I go over a speed bump or pull off my dive (a 3/4 inch drop) my car makes a knock noise?

Could this just be the wheels hitting the wheel liner??

Its a 182 with standard cup suspension

Sounds like it could be an anti-roll bar bush to me... Where abouts is the sound coming from??

I would suggest checking anti-roll bar linkages or the roll bar bushes

i do this for a living, ball joints you can check really easy, jack your front wheels up one at a time hold them at a 9 and 3 oclock positions and see if theres any play, if your not sure nip it into a local ats, kwik fit and get the free check, but never ever buy any thing from them.

I had this couple of weeks ago. It turned out to be a small peice of my spring had broken and was rattling about on the bottom of the shocker plate.
