Knocking Noise

Coming from the rear passanger side.

Sounds like there is something lose in the boot, or the parcel shelf is lose. But it isn't either of them.

Get it a bit when going straight, but more on corners, and it is getting a lot worse.

Just started doing it one morning.

MK1 PH3.

Any ideas?

Check ball joint, wheel nuts, top mounts, bushes etc.

Also check for a split rubber round the CV joint.

sound in a car can be miss leading, get some one in with you to pin point exact position. then go from there, could be a loose petrol tank. or the fluid swishing around in it

Hi, did you ever sort this problem. Mine has exactly the same symptoms. I thought it would possibly be the parcel shelf or something loose in the boot but there isn't anything in my boot.
