Knocking noise?

When hitting high revs coming out of first and second gear in my 172 cup there is a knocking noise... Iv had a few mates look at it, and they think its the heat shield knocking the manifold. Looking behind the engine you can see that its moved forward, maybe came lose or soemthing. Engine mounts look and feel fine, anyone had anything similar or idea what it could be?

just a thought.. the heat sheild???

why not try fixing that and see if the noise goes
could be lots of things that are knocking

Yes obviously i am going to look at that first. I just wanted to know any other possible reasons or if anyone had experienced a similar thing
