Knocking type noise when driving off

  Megane 265 Cup
Wonder if anyone can help, I have noticed a sort of "clunk" if you like when driving off from a stop in the clio. Seems to be only when the car has been parked up for a while ie overnight or something.

Happens just as the clutch is coming out fully. There is no vibration or anything through the pedals or clutch pedal and the car drives 100%, just curious as to what this might be?

Don't think it is the handbrake, doesn't feel like there is any tension and car will roll freely...as said, it only does it when first setting off after the car has been parked up a few hours or overnight. It doesn't seem to do it if I stop in traffic for example then start moving again, bit odd, but it is a definate "clunk" noise.

I can't see it being the handbrake at all.

Worth getting underneath and having a look at the dogbone (lower gearbox) mount, it's the usual cause.

Not sure why time would be a factor to be fair, but can't see time being a factor on anything else either.

How will I know if the mount needs replaced? I do know where it is and I have seen it before but not sure how to tell it is done?
