knocking under acceleration

Went over a tall speed bump which has resulted in my cup knocking when I accelerate! Looked under the car thinking it was the exhaust, adjusted it all the way through leaving good clearence from the heat shield. But still a metalic knocking, sounds like it coming up through the gear leaver tunnel, also car seems to be a touch down on power! Any ideas

might be worth popping into a local garage tomorrow and get them to have a look underneith your car for any damage ? very hard to try and diagnois via what you have said .

Sounds like the engine mount is worn causing the exhaust to touch to subframe making that knocking noise. Get it checked out though!
