knocking when turning at slow speeds

normally when its at or nearly at full lock eg. doing 3 point turns
sounds like its coming more from the top than the bottom (i think)

any ideas what it could be?

Top mounts probably mate.

Mine is doing the same, just debating wether to get solid jobbies or just replace them with OEM Renault parts.

It will be your top mounts. Mine knocked at full lock at low speeds. Put some solid top mounts in problem solved

Ktec or ast seem to be favorites. If your feeling flush Mark Fish ones. Or oem.

Yes they are, however you will never have to change these. So it all depends on how long you want to keep the Clio for. Also, you could take them off when you come to sell the car and maybe get half your money back?
