There is a kocking coming from the rear once I got over a speed bump? I have changed both exshaut mounts but still does its??

I've had a look and the spare wheel is fine, I've even tryed it without it in and it still does it?

I had an awful knock from the front over bumps alittle while ago, got worse and worse.

Different set of wheels on and it was completely gone. Stick the other set back on and it was gone. Friend seemed to think the spacer may have been unlevel, worth a try for you I guess.

I'm still having problems with finding out what this is? I've change evey thing I can think of with no luck the only thing left is the boot catch? mine moves and not knowing any one else around me to see if it is ment to be like that, can any one on hear tell me if there's moves??????????

Good luck tbh mate, I've got a knock coming from somewhere in the front suspension sort of area, I suggest you check there too....

Suspension top mounts

it isnt your exhaust hitting the beam then? my old corsa did this, every time it went over a bump it would knock it. took it to a garage to get the centre section replaced and they changed the hanger rubber things on the end as well, which solved the problem.

Right it's been three months and still nothing!!!! I'm really pissed of with it know, I've changed loads and even had it at a garage and they can't find any thing??? It's still coming from the rear and its over speed bumps and rough roads? please for the love of god can any one help!

double check your shocks to be sure
take them off and see if there is resistance in both of them if the just slide in and out there fucked

Changed the shockes twice,
Changed Stricker Plate,
Changed all exhaust Mountings,
Checked
-Wisbones
-Ball joints
-Lower arm bushes
-Suspension top mounts
-exhaust

and its still knocking? what else can I do? please help as this has been going on for months now and really getting on my wick!

ok people this knocking is still going on and I have just changed the rear axle bushers at a large cost and it is still knocking???? whats going on about ready to rip my hair out, I am in need of desperate help now!

Have you fully removed your rear shock from the car and tried pumping them?

Mine had been knocking badly on the drivers side, I've just removed both rear shockers and the drivers side one is shot. No resistance and leaking.

I have removed them, checked them and changed them twice, still no luck. its a strange noise, its as i'm going over a speed bump or pot hole (like a compresion), but it sounds muffled like its under some thing,

I was thinking the same about a renault specialist, but the closest to me is a volvo garage that has a renault parts only and they have no knowledge about renaults? other than that I can not find other renault specialist near york?

get some cable ties or jubilee clips (I'd use jubilee clips) around the exhaust mounts. Make sure they're solid and there's no movement from the exhaust.

I had this problem for ages, and it was the exhaust knocking on the rear beam.

I had a strange knocking on mine recently. It turned out to be when the exhaust was fitted the clamp above the beam has been fitted with the bolts facing down. A quick look with a mirror showed witness marks on top of the rear beam. A new clamp fitted with bolts to the side sorted it out.

come on people! still can not find this problem? every garage I've been to can not find any thing wrong but can hear the knocking, I've had as much as I can out of the back to find this problem but no luck, can any one help? or any one in the local area that would be willing to help????

I'd take it to your nearest specialist and leave it with them, you'll drive yourself nuts trying to track it down yourself.

Have you tried checking that the exhaust isn't hitting anything?

Loose handbrake cable?

Clutching at straws really.
