Konigsports Fitted

Take it to a garage and see if they can do the camber with out using camber bolts. I bought eibach camber bolts for the vectra when i dropped it low and i didn't even need them. Don't automatically assume you need camber bolts like i did.

The Konigsports have elongated top holes to adjust camber dont they?

Do you mean where it bolts to the hub?

I did notice the top hole was a lot wider, is that what you mean?

Damn, that might be a valid point, I'll have to check them tomorrow.

Anyway I've just lowered it at the front a little more and this is final now, I'm not lowering it anymore in fear of leaky gearboxes!

Yes mate the holes on top. You can adjust the camber with them.

Yeah I've pulled the hub out so the bolt on both sides is sitting right on the outer edge, I still can't be sure if it's right but it certainly looks a lot more normal, it feels a lot better when driving too.

I've got it booked in at a place in Leyland first thing Saturday morning to look at where it will need adjusting. It's knocked the tracking out again though so that's a definite.

It was quite a funny conversation actually when I was phoning a couple of different places;

Me: Hi do you do suspension setup?
Them: Suspension? What do you mean exactly?
Me: Camber
Them: What car is it?
Me: Clio
Them: Sorry, we can't do it, no place will, camber isn't adjustable on that car.
Me: It's got aftermarket suspension which let's you adjust the camber.
Them: Oh...hold on a sec

...2 minutes later...

Them: Okay bring it in so we can look at it blah blah.

I just LOL'd. I know they aren't wrong and they aren't to know but it's funny how they jump to conclusions telling me what I can and can't do with my car.

Once that's done it's a case of getting the cv boot on the nearside on the gearbox end replaced as it's still leaking very slightly but it's pointless doing that until I KNOW the supsension is setup properly.

In the meantime I've got a decat on the way which should be here tomorrow and fitted Saturday sometime. The exhaust is blowing just before the cat so it's to fix that as it's returning 19mpg atm before anyone jumps the gun. :rasp:

Cheers Paul, just doing my head in atm, it's pretty much undriveable. :(

It's all my own doing though, just trying to sort it asap. Working 50 odd hours a week ftl.

ouch you'll be back enjoying it soon though!

bloody hell I struggle with my days as they are lol

Finally, went to ATS Euromaster in Leyland this morning to get a full setup, cost me £100 but damn it's made a massive difference, it handles like it should now.

It holds the road as it should, I can feel the tyres on the road and the steering is precise, predictable and solid, the guy has done an excellent job.

It's now in Bodytech in Bispham getting a decat fitted and he's gonna look at the oil leak whilst it's on the ramp, hopefully he can diagnose it and maybe fix it today too.

I love the car again! :D

Cheers Rob, decat is on now and it feels like it's power is restored. :D

He said he looked at the gearbox leak and clean it up etc but couldn't see any signs of damage or any leak. He suggested it may only be leaking whilst driving and that my best bet is to take it to a gearbox specialist. :(

However, I'm certainly gonna go for a spin a little later on and the noise it makes now just blipping the throttle is awesome, will be even better once I get a new cat back zorst on. :D
