Ktec camber bolts.

  Clio 172 Cup

Right guys i really really need to sort my steering out. Its still not sorted out and i got the car in May. Some of u might remember my 1st post ages back about it. Its still pulling all over the place, jumping around the road etc. Ive put goodyear eagle f1s on, and its improved steering a bit. But it still behaves strangely. Im getting it lowered on Sat, using eibach springs. Ive got the camber bolts from K-tec, and i need to know whether these are gonna make any difference or not? What is the standard camber setting for a 2002 CUP? Have any of you guys solved steering problems by fitting these bolts? If so what settings did you use. Any help much appreciated. J

Think we should swap cars and try each others to see if you think mine is better and or/whether I think yours is bad.

If you are going for the eibach pro kit you dont need to adjust the camber.

Its only if you are dropping the car by a load that you will need to adjust the camber.

The eibach springs will make a BIG difference to the handling and driving characteristics. It wont torque steer/jump all over the road/crash and bang in potholes etc etc etc

thanks. thats what im after. But the car pulls to the left, thats what the camber bolts are for.

There are some good threads on camber/caster/toe in etc etc on the forum, try a search. I am by no means an expert on the issue but others are;)

Assuming your are getting a pro to fit you springs then they will be re-aligning it after they are fitted. I would think that will sort out any tracking issues.

Have you got un-even tire wear at the moment ??

very same as me mate...my front left, around the edges is gone and almost in need of new tyre after 4.5k. Its the roundabouts my friend!

The handling of my car is becoming a very serious matter now . Driving to work this morning in Manchetser city centre, doing around 25 mph in fairly heavy traffic on Princess Street. On very slight acceleration i hit a small pot hole (i wouldnt even say it was that, more like a depression in the road) and the car flies off half way into the other lane!!! I couldnt do anything about it, as it was instaneous. The car went half way in the other lane, some guy slammed on and started beeping at me. He must of thought i was pissed! I was looking saying its not my fault its this f**king car mate! Its a good job there was no one directly beside otherwise there would of been some bad damage involved. WHY IS IT BEHAVING LIKE THIS!!!

It wobbles all over the place, and pulls to the left slightly. Im not sure whether it is the camber anymore. Maybe its a wishbone that knackered? Anyone got any advice on what to do here.
