Ktec Recessed Exhaust Fitted!! (Project DE-CHAV: Before & After) (Pics & Vids)

Well this morning the delivery man came with this beauty

Was going to have a go at fitting it myself but bottled it and took it to Discount Tyres & Exhausts, they did an ok job of fitting it for me needs tweaking so it sits perfect, and Bradshaws next door came and cut the recess for me.

Anyway.. pics!

Much better, the K-Tec stealth is a tidy design. You've got the right ideas for sorting this car so I'm sure it'll keep improving

New exhaust looks tidy mate, but as said just needs a little jiggling to align it nicely.

Did the previous owner use the old exhaust to stand on when cleaning the rear of the roof?? :rasp:

exhaust needs spinning round a bit, i did have a moan while it was being fitted but they said its because of the new rubber mount, that he put in and charged me for...

and yeah that exhaust is absalute guff, was waiting for payday to get the ktec but after boshing it off a kurb as it was so low, perfect excuse to get it sooner so much quieter then the old one, with the windows up driving along you wouldnt even know it was there

Which model did you get the sports or the supersports version? and is that a mild steel one? Can i ask how much it cost you?

It looks MUCH better than before, just needs tinkering to get it to sit flush..

It is the Sports version, in mild steel, came to £228.91 inc vat, and postage, lovely subtle sound to it. Originally ordered the Supersports in SS as its cheaper but they have none in stock at the moment and was recommended this by Ktec, they did say the supersports is a fair bit louder, but im dead pleased with it, didnt want anything larey.

Alloys aren't my fave, in desperate need of a refurb so dont know whether to try sell/swap them as they are or not. Wouldnt mind some Turinis, 172s or some OZs.

Not that keen on spoiler aparently its really rare?

look much better m8 all you need are some nice white Turinis and a cup spoiler then it will look mint keep it up.

nope there these but with only 4 holes around center cap in 17s mate, the lip on mine is pretty kurbed and the laquers gone a bit funny though

nope on some bloody uncomforable red springs.. apex? not sure, not sure how low either was thinking 40mm, maybe 60 as i parked next to a standard 182 and mine was alot lower and on 17s

Excellent upgrade, get some cable ties on it! Used them on mine and now it sits perfect.
