Ktr recessed exhaust

Just ordered a k tec sport recessed exhaust. Anyone had any fitting issues? Aside from cutting the bumper (not looking forward to that part)

Also have had a k&n 57i kit on for a while now, love the noise, but performance wise would I be better off with the standard airbox and a ktr or other panel filter?

The k&n will not give you any performance gain at all, most induction kits lose power, but I don't know about this one in particular. You're better off with the standard airbox and just a panel filter. If you want noise, buy the V6 airbox.

Its a very heavy system so you willl need to do the exhaust mount mod for it to sit right. with the cutting just dont go at it in one go keep cutting a little bit at a time out. the garage fcuked mine up and i have a gap between the exhaust surround.

Nope stadard mount with bits of pipe in the holes to make it more rigid.

Get a V6 airbox oh and you should have bought a stealth.

Why so? Spend about 2 hours deciding between the recessed and the stealth.

Just personal preference mate, think they look better but as long as you like it thats all that matters.

I'll probably be wishing I'd bought a stealth once I've gone through the drama of cutting the bumper!

i got on fine cutting the bumper, its no where near where the instructions say to cut but mine lines up well.

i was thinking about the stealth but like a bit of shine hanging out

That's what sold the recessed to me too, bought a bluflame twin tail pipe jobbie off eBay last year when I was skint, just don't like the sat under the bumper look, that and I'm forever banging it into kerbs.
