ktr solid top mounts

hi

i have fitted ktr solid top mounts and eibach proline springs to my 182.

the problem is when i go over a rough bit of road it sounds like they are knocking also i

have creaking noises when steering.

when i built the struts up as per the instructions it said to leave the nut that sits

underneath the top mount off so now there isn't a nut holding down the spring plate

to the spring.

have i done it right or should that nut be on?

if it is right could i get something made up that would put more pressure on the spring

plate and spring to tighten it all up and hopefully stop the noises?

i have purchased a diesel injector socket and some extra long hex keys along with a

breaker bar to really get them tight but they are as tight as they will go but still i get

these noises!!

never thought of that!

ive got so fixated on the struts never thought it might be something else!

checked them and they seem ok

no play left of right or up and down
